Since our church’s inception on March 31, 2008, we have been united in prayer and determination to secure a building to call our own. With God’s grace and your unwavering support, we took a monumental step on October 15, 2013, when we purchased a 14,217 sq. ft. piece of land at 6300 Piney Branch NW in Washington, DC. We hoped to build our church in the heart of the nation’s capital, aiming to complete construction by the summer of 2014.
However, as many of you know, building in Washington, DC, comes with a unique set of challenges. The permitting process was arduous, and after four years, it became clear that regulations and restrictions would prevent us from creating a building that could fully serve our congregation’s needs. While it was a difficult decision, we chose to sell the land to begin the process of finding a suitable building that could truly become our spiritual home.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that after nearly 16 years and 8 months, we have finally secured a place we can call home! This new property, Ebenezer Eritrean Church, is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the collective support of believers around the world. Every contribution, every prayer, and every ounce of faith has brought us to this milestone.
But our journey doesn’t end here. To make this new space welcoming, safe, and vibrant for all, we need your continued support. With your help, we can make essential upgrades, including:
- Replacing the Church Roof for long-lasting safety and shelter.
- Upgrading the HVAC System to create a comfortable environment year-round.
- Revitalizing the Kids’ Section to provide a warm, engaging space for our youngest members to grow in faith.
Join us in building our new home together. Your generous donations will transform this building into a sanctuary for worship, connection, and community. Every dollar moves us closer to a bright future where we can gather, celebrate, and grow as one family under God.
Thank you for being part of this journey, and for the blessings you continue to share. May God richly bless you for your faith and dedication to Ebenezer Eritrean Church!
